Philanthropy

Iota Pi has hosted three successful Red Dress Luncheons so far and plan on hosting our Fourth Annual Red Dress Luncheon in the fall of 2016! All the proceeds from this event will benefit the Alpha Phi Foundation. Please join us in supporting a very special cause! Alpha Phi has a strong philanthropic focus! The girls of the Iota Pi Chapter work hard to plan and host events that raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation. Philanthropy events that the Iota Pi Chapter has hosted include A Phiesta, an annual Red Dress Luncheon, a Mr. Heart Throb competition, and a Spring Fling hosted with another sorority on campus, raising money for multiple causes! Not only do members put their time and energy into the chapter's own philanthropy events to support the Alpha Phi Foundation, our members also enjoy participating in other chapters' philanthropy events--members are able to expand their philanthropic and social skills, by supporting many different causes.

Mr. Heart Throb

Here at Northern Arizona University, we are pleased to hold our second annual Mr. HeArt ThrΦb philanthropy on February 8th-14th! We are happy to announce that we raised $8,433.50 for the Alpha Phi Foundation last year. Our winner, Rex Gaede, is a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity here on campus and is well active into coming to our Alpha Phi events as well as in our composites. He will be at our annual Red Dress Gala this coming fall for a brief speech. Thank you again to all the men who participated, we loved working with all of you and look forward to seeing you all around campus till the next Mr. HeArt ThrΦb!

Foundation

In 1956 Alpha Phi established their own foundation. Alpha Phi was among one of the first women’s fraternities to do so. The foundation was created as a trust to award grants specifically for scholarship and cardiac aid. The foundation stands by its mission by advancing women’s lives through the power of philanthropy.
